MGI is well-known in the commercial printing industry for having versatile digital presses that print on a wide range of substrates (paper, plastics/synthetics and envelopes). However, photo professionals are now turning to the Meteor DP60 Pro to fulfill their photo needs.
H.Williams Bookstore, a Hallmark chain of stores located in Trinidad, purchased a Meteor DP60 Pro to expand their greeting card business for short runs, but found a whole range of new business opportunities, thanks to the versatility of the Meteor DP60 Pro. They now produce photo books on demand at each of their retail locations (using MGI’s PhotoWorkShop kiosk along with the press), as well as personalized invitations along with other applications, and have been able to reduce their costs, thanks to MGI’s no click charge model of operation.
MGI customers are producing other unique applications such as book covers and art prints on canvas, nature photos printed on polycarbonate for a city park display, and of course photo books and photo prints. With brilliant 2400 dpi output on sheet sizes ranging from 5.5 x 7” up to 13 x 40” via the air feed system, there are many opportunities for creativity…and profitability.
