MGI Digital Graphic Technology, the digital press and finishing solutions
manufacturer, announced that Agfa Graphics Sweden has now joined its EMEA
Distributor network.

Sweden is now the third country in which Agfa has been appointed distribution rights
for the MGI product range in the EMEA zone. With a partnership that originated with
the selection of Agfa Switzerland in 2010, and followed up by Agfa Italy, the alliance
between both MGI and Agfa has proven to be a successful one over the years. In
2012, Agfa Switzerland was awarded the “MGI EMEA Distributor of the Year” trophy.
In 2013, Agfa Italy was awarded the “MGI EMEA Rising Star” in recognition of a full
year’s of sales, including the prestigious Vatican’s Printing House.

Björn Allskog, Sales Manager for Agfa Graphics Sweden, declared: “The choice to
distribute the entire MGI portfolio is obvious to us as it was for our two sister
companies in Switzerland and in Italy. The MGI products are incredibly complementary
with ours. We have the same customers on the plates and CTP business as MGI has
with their products. In large part, thanks to our CTP, plates and workflow product
lines, we interact on a daily basis with commercial offset printers in the graphics arts
industry. The ability to provide our current customers with a one-stop-shop for all
their printing needs will be very beneficial to both our customers and to ourselves.
Furthermore, our customers tell us every day that they are actively looking for
solutions that provide true added-value.

Between the Meteor Digital Press line and the JETvarnish 3D technology, as well as the
other products, we have access to a product line that has proven itself in field as being
one of the most competitive and qualitative ones available on the market. The
agreement between our respective companies is the ideal win-win scenario.”

Agfa Graphics Sweden will begin marketing and promoting the MGI product lines in
beginning 2014, and a showroom is now fully equipped and ready to host customer
demonstration. An open house will take place in the beginning of April 2014, and if
interested to attend, please contact

Victor Abergel, MGI’s Executive Vice President, added: “The proven success that we
have achieved with Agfa Graphics Switzerland and Italy, makes me very confident
about working together with Agfa Sweden. The Swedish team will be up to speed to
start actively selling and installing from January 2014. The sales potential for MGI is
very strong with both offset printers and LFP/finishing professionals in Sweden. Agfa’s
skills are very solid from pre-sales all the way through to their after sales activities.
MGI is very proud to extend its collaboration with Agfa Graphics in Sweden.”
