Finnish printing company EPKK Oy invests in Plastic Card solutions

Finnish printing company, EPKK Oy invests to new MGI Meteor DP8700 XL printing press, PressCard Pro and PunchCard Pro for plastic card production.

 “The new MGI Meteor DP8700 XL was very interesting choice when picking a new production printing press. All recent studies from our customer base, print buyers, indicate that there is growing demand for new digital offering,  this includes plastics, envelopes, new formats etc.  MGI was the only alternative which gave us this possibility of “out-of-box” jobs.  The press itself was very easy decision, since there was no other real alternative if we wanted to meet your customer’s expectations” says CEO Kyösti Kaminen from EPKK Oy.  

“Adding capability to produce plastic cards was a new extension for us, but we are really excited to explore this interesting market segment as well.”

“Our visit to the Cartes show in Paris proved clearly that there is growing amount of applications in plastic card area where MGI’s cost effective daily production capacity of 15000 personalized plastic cards, will find its place.” 

Located in Ostrobotnia, Finland, EPKK Oy is a printing company whose production includes traditional printing jobs as well as wide-format production capacity both in paper and fabric substrates. 

New plastic card production will be launched in Finland early December 2011.
