The Meteor DP60 Pro has phenomenal print quality

Hansen QP

In business for nearly 25 years, Hansen QP was started by Mike Hansen as a one-man shop catering primarily to trade-only and wholesale brokers. That remains their main clientele today, although their staff and capabilities have expanded considerably. They originally focused on business forms, but as the market evolved and the rise of digital documents occurred, Hansen decided that they needed to branch out into other areas.

They added basic B & W digital devices about 4 years ago, but held off on color until they were satisfied with the output quality, speed and the sheet size – specifically, the capability to print on 25.5” long sheets. When Mike Hansen saw the Meteor DP60 Pro at PRINT 09, where the new Super Format capabilities (up to 40” long sheets in production) had just been announced, he knew he’d finally found a digital color device that could meet his standards.

Not only could the Meteor DP60 Pro meet his sheet size requirements, it offered additional capabilities (multi-substrate versatility, laser-safe letterhead and envelopes, etc.) that helped his trade customers with other digital presses stand out in their markets.

Today, all of Hansen’s 4-color 11 x 25” runs that are less than 2,000 sheets are produced on the Meteor DP60 Pro, with more and more shorter runs (1, 2 and 4-color) being migrated over as well, resulting in a savings over producing offset plates. Typical applications include letterhead, envelopes, brochures, book covers, stickers, postcards, business cards, among others. They’re extremely happy with the press, specifically the quick turnaround it affords jobs, ease of color matching and consistency (indistinguishable from offset) and the phenomenal print quality.
