2. Remote Maintenance
Remote technical support over Internet : Remote Access
The remote access tools allows the MGI Technical Support team to remotely control and visualize your PC. The goal is to save time and to be more efficient for answering your requests. The MGI Technician will be able to achieve the following actions :
- Check your software setup
- Visualize messages over your screen
- Download software update and locally install them
- Reboot your computer
- Do live training sessions within the software installed onto your computer
If you are equipped with a webcam, you could share my MGI Technical Support, photos and live session. A picture is worth a thousand words.
To launch this convenient support tool, you need an Internet connection (even temporary) and launch the MGI utility located onto the MGI web – here.
How to proceed :
1 : Download the remote access software and copy it onto your desktop.
2 : Launch the remote access software (ie MGIaccess.exe) A popup windows shows up “MGI Support by Internet”
3 : Communicate by mail or by phone your ID to MGI Technical Support (for example: 12 345 678 shown in this page)
4 : A MGI technician remotely takes control of your computer The little windows runs minimized and you can see all the actions by the MGI technician onto your computer.
5 : When the session is finished, the technician stops the connection and the window shows up.
The remote access utility is also available for MacOS X platforms. It will allow the MGI Technical Support Team that everything is OK onto your Mac (driver, for instance)
1 : Dowload the remote access tools (TeamViewerQS.dmg) onto your Mac desktop.
2 : Launch this sofwtare. A popup windows shows up “MGI Support by Internet”
3 : Communicate by mail or by phone your ID to MGI Technical Support (for example: 12 345 678 shown in this page)
4 : A MGI technician remotely takes control of your computer. The little windows runs minimized and you can see all the actions by the MGI technician onto your computer.
5 : When the session is finished, the technician stops the connection and the window shows up.
